Role Overview
As a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, you will assist in commissioning mechanical systems to ensure they meet the Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR). Working alongside experienced team members, you'll conduct testing, collect performance data, and contribute to integrated systems testing documentation across large-scale construction projects.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support the commissioning (Cx) process and apply best practices on active project sites
- Communicate with engineers, contractors, and client representatives professionally
- Create commissioning procedures and templates
- Assist in developing commissioning schedules and load bank testing plans
- Verify Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) plans
- Set up and monitor data loggers and conduct IR scanning under guidance
- Maintain detailed daily test logs and assist with spreadsheet documentation
- Collaborate in developing Integrated Systems Testing (IST) reports and visual charts
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer or equivalent role
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical infrastructure
- Familiarity with ASHRAE Guideline 0 and five levels of commissioning
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Proficiency with Excel and basic data analysis preferred
- Exposure to mechanical systems testing, TAB, and load bank planning a plus
