Plumbing and Piping Estimator – Edina, MN – $115K–$160K+ (Depending on Experience) – Established MEP Contractor

About the Role:

We are seeking a Plumbing and Piping Estimator to join a stable and reputable HVAC/MEP firm based in Edina, MN. With over 40 years of experience, this company is known for its collaborative culture, long-tenured staff, and diverse project portfolio in the commercial and industrial sectors.

Position Overview:

• Title: Plumbing and Piping Estimator
• Location: Edina, MN
• Industry Focus: Commercial Buildings, Hospitals, Data Centers, Government, Education, Industrial
• Project Types: New Construction, Retrofit, Service

Responsibilities:

• Estimate plumbing and piping scopes within HVAC and mechanical project environments
• Generate detailed take-offs, project schedules, and complete cost estimates
• Develop estimation documents and tools for each proposal
• Assist the sales team during the preconstruction and bidding phase
• Coordinate scopes and pricing with subcontractors and suppliers
• Compile equipment lists and estimate associated labor costs
• Review vendor submittals to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Interpret engineering drawings, specs, RFIs, and RFPs
• Support value engineering and lifecycle cost analysis as needed
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external clients

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience estimating plumbing and piping scopes within HVAC or MEP projects
• Comfortable reviewing technical drawings and developing accurate pricing
• Skilled in estimation software and Excel-based workflows
• Strong communication and coordination skills

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $115,000 – $160,000+ (Based on Experience)
