Sr. Electrical Engineer – Norfolk, VA

$80,000 – $110,000 DOE + Bonus Potential + Excellent Benefits

We are a well-established MEP design firm serving the Hampton Roads area since 1960. We are looking for an experienced Sr. Electrical Engineer to join our Norfolk-based team. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality design, assessments, and retrofit services, the firm is seeking a licensed professional to support and lead a variety of commercial, municipal, healthcare, and higher education projects.

Position Overview:

• Title: Sr. Electrical Engineer
• Location: Norfolk, VA
• Work Breakdown: 85% office, 15% local client site visits

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead electrical design projects and coordinate with architects, contractors, and engineering teams
• Perform load calculations and develop full electrical system designs using Revit
• Review and respond to submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation
• Oversee site surveys and job walks to ensure project compliance with codes and quality standards
• Train and mentor junior staff, supporting technical development and knowledge-sharing
• Maintain departmental design standards and documentation templates

Ideal Candidate:

• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in an MEP or consulting environment
• PE license required
• Experience with municipal, institutional, healthcare, or commercial facilities is a plus
• Proficient in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication and project management skills
