HVAC Sales Engineer (Project Engineer/Estimator) – REMOTE + On-Site Job Walks (CT) – $125K–$135K + 10% Bonus

About the Opportunity:

A leading provider of HVAC, Controls, and Data Center Solutions is seeking a HVAC Sales Engineer (Project Engineer/Estimator) to support mechanical project development. This role is primarily remote but requires 2–3 site visits per week in Connecticut for job walks and pre-bid activities.

Position Details:

• Title: HVAC Sales Engineer (Project Engineer/Estimator)
• Location: Remote (with 2–3 job walks per week in Connecticut)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday (Flexible Remote + Field Work)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed project scopes and conduct internal audits
• Prepare estimates and proposals for HVAC mechanical projects (both large and small scale)
• Calculate labor, materials, subcontractor, and operational costs
• Prepare project schedules, take-offs, and bill of materials (BOM)
• Review and respond to RFPs, RFQs, engineered drawings, and project specifications
• Obtain competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors
• Collaborate daily with the outside sales team
• Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks as needed

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $125,000 – $135,000 (Based on Experience)
• Bonus: 10% Annual Bonus

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in the HVAC mechanical industry
• Familiar with estimating tools and construction project workflows
• Comfortable reading engineering documents and creating cost estimates
• Bonus: Background in Data Center industry (not required)
