HVAC Project Manager – Fort Collins, CO – $75K to $110K + Bonus – Premier Mechanical Contractor

Join a leading HVAC mechanical and controls contractor serving Northern Colorado, Denver, the Front Range, and Southern Wyoming. This company is known for delivering turnkey mechanical solutions including new construction, remodels, retrofits, and advanced controls. They are expanding their project management team in Fort Collins and looking for a highly skilled and motivated HVAC Project Manager.

About the Company:

• Established for 30+ years with over 100 employees
• Specializing in HVAC mechanical systems and controls
• Serving commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential markets
• Services include design-build, retrofits, automation, in-house sheet metal, green technology, and commissioning

Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of ~20 commercial HVAC projects, including projects up to $3–5 million
• Lead projects from contract award through closeout
• Coordinate with estimating during preconstruction and buyout
• Develop schedules, budgets, and scopes of work
• Conduct site walks and evaluate project requirements
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and procurement
• Oversee subcontractors, field crews, and vendors
• Track billing, control costs, and monitor job profitability
• Ensure code compliance, safety, and quality standards
• Maintain documentation and client communications throughout the project

Qualifications:

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Proven experience managing HVAC projects
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, blueprints, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and specifications
• Strong leadership and project coordination skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Proficiency in project management software
• Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
