Estimating and Application Engineer – Greater Twin Cities Area – $80K to $100K Base + Bonus + Company Perks

About the Opportunity:

A well-established manufacturer’s representative is hiring an Estimating and Application Engineer to join their growing team near the Twin Cities. This individual will support the sales and engineering process from bid through execution by performing takeoffs, quoting, product selection, and submittals. Location:

• Monticello, MN (servicing Minneapolis-St. Paul and surrounding regions)
• 1–2 remote workdays per week

Position Details:

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 (DOE)
• Bonus: Annual performance-based bonus ($10,000 – $20,000)

Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
• Experience in HVAC, piping, controls, or similar mechanical systems
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications

Responsibilities:

• Manage estimation and bidding for a variety of mechanical and process projects
• Review construction drawings/specs for accurate equipment selection and take-offs
• Coordinate with manufacturers and internal sales team to select and quote equipment
• Prepare and price customer quotations based on project specifications and scope
• Select and size mechanical, control, and process equipment per customer requirements
• Provide technical consultation and support to sales team and clients
• Generate technical product submittals for engineer and client review
• Support projects from concept through installation, assisting with orders and execution
