A well-established mechanical contracting firm is seeking a
Lead Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team in the Minneapolis area.
This firm has been serving the Upper Midwest for decades, delivering

Position Details:
- Title: Lead Mechanical Engineer
- Location: Southwest Minneapolis, MN
- Compensation: $125,000–$140,000 (DOE)
- Type: Full-Time
- Bonus: Discretionary
Responsibilities:
- Lead HVAC and plumbing system design projects, including performing load calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts.
- Develop detailed construction drawings and project schedules using Revit.
- Provide engineering expertise throughout all project phases, from concept development to construction close-out.
- Conduct on-site inspections to ensure project progress and adherence to schedules.
- Manage construction phase support, including contractor coordination, RFIs, and technical inquiries.
- Collaborate on multi-disciplinary 2D and 3D design efforts.
- Lead client meetings to define project goals and design requirements.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external consultants to refine design solutions.
Ideal Candidate:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Minnesota – required.
- 8+ years of experience in HVAC and plumbing system design.
- Proficiency in Revit; familiarity with SpecLink, eSpecs, Bluebeam, and Trace 700/HAP is a plus.
- Strong background as a Mechanical Engineer or in a comparable role with hands-on project delivery experience.
