Position Details
- Title: HVAC Mechanical Engineer
- Location: San Jose, CA
- Salary: $130,000 – $180,000 (Depending on experience)
- Experience: Mid to Senior Level
- Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and design HVAC mechanical systems for buildings, central plants, and facilities
- Develop technical proposals, reports, and project documentation
- Perform Title-24 compliance calculations for building heating and cooling loads
- Size and select HVAC equipment, ductwork, and piping systems
- Ensure designs meet performance, energy, and regulatory requirements
- Manage multiple deadlines and make independent design decisions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects
- Occasional job and site walks for inspection and coordination
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in HVAC mechanical design
- Proficiency in mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing system design for high-performance buildings
- Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is a plus
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
