About the Opportunity
A leading publicly traded Engineering & Consulting organization is seeking a
Group Controller – Engineering & Construction Segment to join their executive finance leadership team.
This newly created, high-visibility role reports directly to the CFO and CIO and will partner closely with senior leadership and segment presidents to drive financial performance and compliance across national operations.
The position is remote-flexible, with occasional travel to U.S. offices for senior leadership meetings and site visits.
Position Details

- Compensation: $180,000 – $250,000 (Base Salary) + Bonus
- Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to CFO/CIO and serve as a strategic finance leader
- Oversee controllership across multiple Engineering & Construction business units
- Lead ASC 606 and percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting and reporting
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Manage M&A due diligence, integration, and post-close financial alignment
- Track KPIs, margins, cash performance, and segment-level financial performance
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal accounting policies
- Mentor and support controllers and regional accounting teams across business units
- Collaborate on quarterly closes, audits, and financial reporting
Ideal Candidate
- Active CPA designation
- Extensive background in construction accounting and POC methodologies
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
- Experience managing multi-entity consolidations and reporting in complex organizations
- Proven leadership experience mentoring accounting teams
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with senior executives
