Ideal Candidate

• 10+ years of HVAC experience in the commercial or industrial service sector
• Strong HVAC technical background and ability to support technicians on complex issues
• Positive, hands-on leadership style with excellent communication skills
• Mentorship-focused; available and supportive to technicians
• Experience overseeing a service team preferred, but strong technical leaders will be considered
• Ideal for someone coming from a union or field-service background looking to transition into leadership

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the HVAC service department, including dispatch, field technicians, and support staff
• Provide technical guidance on complex service and repair issues
• Plan, assign, and coordinate technician schedules to meet service demands
• Oversee training, performance reviews, and staff development initiatives
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality expectations, and operational procedures
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure prompt, high-quality service delivery
• Review and approve service documentation including quotes, work orders, and time reports
• Manage inventory, parts procurement, and vendor relationships
• Monitor budgets, financial performance, and departmental KPIs
• Ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance and customer contracts
