NETA Field Service Technician II–IV – Greater Phoenix Area – Leading Power & Electrical Testing Provider – Up to $85/hr + Sign-On Bonus + Company Vehicle

This is a NETA Field Service Technician II–IV opportunity in the Greater Phoenix area. This role focuses on testing, commissioning, and maintaining power distribution systems for mission-critical facilities including data centers, industrial plants, utilities, and commercial sites.

POSITION:

• NETA Field Service Technician (Levels II, III, or IV)

LOCATION:

• Phoenix, AZ (50% regional travel)

OFFERED:

• Hourly Rate:
  • NETA II: $35.00 – $50.00/hr
  • NETA III/IV: $55.00 – $85.00/hr
• Sign-On Bonus:
  • NETA II: Up to $14,000 (paid over 3 years)
  • NETA III/IV: $20,000 – $35,000 (paid over 3 years)
• Overtime Available: Time-and-a-half (8–12 hrs), Double-time (12+ hrs)
• Remote Work: 100% remote when not at job sites

• $70/day Per Diem for travel

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Test, troubleshoot, and maintain low, medium, and high voltage power systems
• Perform transformer testing including TTR, power factor, insulation resistance, etc.
• Conduct cable testing and diagnostic assessments
• Complete primary & secondary injection testing for protection systems
• Service circuit breakers, switchgear, protective relays, transformers, VFDs, and ATS systems
• Commission, inspect, and diagnose power systems at customer sites
• Document findings, results, and recommendations in detailed reports
• Follow all safety protocols and NETA standards during field operations

REQUIREMENTS:

• Active NETA II, III, or IV Certification (NETA II must have multi-year experience)
• Strong background in electrical testing, commissioning, and field troubleshooting
• Experience with protective relays, switchgear, transformers, and HV/MV systems
• Ability to read schematics, one-lines, and technical documents
• Comfort with travel (approx. 50%)
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR

PREFERRED (Not Required):

• NICET Power Testing Certification
• Experience with data centers or mission-critical environments
• Background supporting industrial or utility customers
