A well-established commercial HVAC/R contractor serving Southern California is seeking an experienced
HVAC/R Service Technician to support maintenance, service, and repair operations across a diverse
commercial and industrial customer base.
This role focuses on hands-on service and troubleshooting of HVAC and refrigeration systems and offers

Position Overview
The HVAC/R Service Technician is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting,
and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems. This position requires strong
technical skills, attention to safety and documentation, and the ability to work independently in the
field.
Key Responsibilities
- Report to work on time and follow assigned schedules and service routes
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC/R, refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems
- Repair, install, remove, and replace equipment and components including compressors, pumps, air handlers, motors, and control devices
- Diagnose system malfunctions using schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and precision testing tools
- Safely operate hand and power tools and perform work requiring heavy lifting
- Support minor construction, remodeling projects, and startup of new installations
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, manufacturer requirements, and industry standards
- Maintain accurate, timely, and legible service and work records
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support service operations
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in the HVAC/R industry
- Experience servicing refrigeration equipment in convenience stores, supermarkets, industrial chillers, and cooling towers
- Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations
- Familiarity with evaporative and cooling towers, chillers, and purging units
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and drawings
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
