Role Overview
This position will support field services including acceptance testing, commissioning, maintenance, and diagnostics of high-voltage electrical equipment. The role is technical and client-facing, requiring strong knowledge of NETA, IEEE, and NFPA standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing electrical testing on power apparatus, substations, and switchgear units
- Testing and inspecting relaying systems, breakers, transformers, motors, grounding, and cables
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues with detailed root cause analysis
- Providing clear, concise reports outlining work performed and recommended actions
- Maintaining direct communication with management regarding job progress, staffing, and equipment
- Representing the organization professionally when working with clients
- Adhering to strict safety standards on all job sites
What We’re Looking For
- NETA Certification (Level II, III, or IV)
- Experience as a NETA Technician or similar field testing role
- Proficiency in testing electrical systems including high-voltage substations
- Strong troubleshooting, reporting, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in the field with 50% local travel
