Job Details

• Position: Sr. Mechanical Estimator
• Location: New Berlin, WI (Greater Milwaukee Area)

Responsibilities:

• Lead full mechanical/HVAC estimating efforts on large-scale commercial and industrial projects
• Review plans/specs, assign tasks to estimating team, and ensure timely bid submittals
• Support project managers with pricing, change orders, and material procurement
• Attend strategy and bid meetings with management to prioritize pipeline opportunities
• Prepare and supervise creation of cost estimate documents, budgets, and client proposals
• Negotiate scope and pricing with general contractors and vendors
• Mentor estimating staff, evaluate performance, and oversee workload distribution
• Maintain and build client relationships and regularly visit project sites

What you bring:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator, Project Manager, or Sales Engineer with estimating background
• Strong technical understanding of HVAC, piping, sheet metal, and energy systems
• Ability to lead a team, manage competing priorities, and maintain high accuracy under deadlines
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in estimate software and spreadsheet development
