Job Details
- Position: Lead VDC Coordinator
- Location: Springfield, MA
Responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate layout and fabrication drawings for plumbing, HVAC, and process systems using CAD/Revit
- Collaborate with the Lead Coordinator and Virtual Construction Manager to meet design objectives
- Lead coordination efforts and participate in project meetings
- Review and update contract drawings, submittals, and RFI documentation
- Produce fabrication drawings and detailed material takeoffs
- Interpret and solve layout and routing challenges across multiple systems (HVAC, plumbing, underground)
- Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues using BIM tools
- Review equipment submittals for layout accuracy and compliance
What you bring:
- 10+ years of experience in HVAC/VDC coordination or related role
- Proficiency in Revit and coordination software (e.g., Navisworks, AutoCAD MEP)
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction drawings
- Ability to manage coordination processes and produce accurate fabrication documentation
