We’re hiring a QA-QC Welding Examiner for a nationally respected Mechanical & Process Engineering firm based in San Jose. With over 50 years of success across mission-critical industries, this firm delivers advanced welding and fabrication services across high-purity, industrial, and hygienic applications.

Position Details:

• Title: QA-QC Welding Examiner
• Location: San Jose, CA
• Salary: $100,000 – $160,000+ (Depending on Experience)

About the Quality Control Division:

• Performs precise welding inspections for Semiconductor, Biopharma, Industrial, and Data Center sectors
• Works with AWS, ASME, and structural welding codes
• Handles high-purity and hygienic process inspections

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct weld inspections and material verification for in-process and final reviews
• Ensure compliance with AWS, ASME, and internal quality standards
• Review weld test reports, MTRs, and fabrication documentation
• Coordinate with third-party inspectors and AHJs (authorities having jurisdiction)
• Log non-conformances, initiate corrective action, and track resolutions
• Support calibration, maintenance, and inspection of tools and test equipment
• Help author and maintain SOPs for welding and QC activities

Technologies & Tools:

• Measurement Tools: Calipers, micrometers, tape measures, levels
• Standards: AWS (Structural/Sheet Metal), ASME (Piping & Vessels)
• Testing Equipment: XRF analyzers (PMI), borescopes for weld visualization
• Software: MS Excel, digital QC tracking platforms
