HVAC Estimator/Project Manager – Cranberry Township, PA – $80,000–$110,000+ (DOE)

About the Opportunity:

Join a well-established, full-service mechanical contractor serving Western Pennsylvania and surrounding regions. This union contractor is seeking a skilled HVAC Estimator/Project Manager with expertise in piping and sheet metal systems. The role offers the opportunity to work on commercial and industrial projects across healthcare, education, retail, and government sectors.

Position:

• Title: HVAC Estimator/PM
• Location: Cranberry Township, PA (Greater Pittsburgh Metro)
• Status: Full-Time / On-Site / Union (Local 449)

Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum 6 years of HVAC estimating experience (piping & sheet metal)
• Ability to read technical specifications, drawings, and contracts
• Experience with Design-Build and Plan & Spec installations
• Strong knowledge of the installation process and cost breakdown

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for pre-construction efforts
• Review bid documents, addenda, specifications, and construction drawings
• Complete take-offs, acquire subcontractor/equipment pricing, and write detailed proposals
• Update pricing databases quarterly and adjust labor factors based on field data
• Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct jobsite inspections
• Participate in internal turnover meetings to communicate project specifics
• Prepare change order estimates when required
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments on bids
• Operate and maintain estimating software and digital tools
• Ensure project cost and design accuracy through pre- and post-bid reviews

• Base Salary: $80,000–$110,000+ (Depending on Experience)
