Position Details:

• Title: Sheet Metal Estimator
• Location: Pittsburgh, PA
• Status: Full-Time | Onsite

Ideal Candidate:

• 10–15 years of estimating experience in mechanical systems and sheet metal
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• Strong knowledge of take-offs, fabrication processes, and cost breakdowns
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and scope to define requirements
• Calculate quantities for sheet metal, ducts, fittings, and hardware
• Estimate labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs
• Review supplier quotes, negotiate pricing, and evaluate delivery timelines
• Compile competitive, detailed bid proposals for clients
• Adjust cost estimates in response to change orders or project scope shifts
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure project alignment
• Track cost performance and recommend adjustments to enhance accuracy
• Participate in pre-bid and planning meetings with internal teams and clients

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $75,000–$100,000+ (DOE)
