This role involves collaborating with estimating, sales, and project management teams to drive innovative mechanical system designs. Position Details:
- Title: HVAC Director of Design
- Location: Cincinnati, OH (Mason area)
- Status: Full-Time | Union Shop (Local 392)
Ideal Candidate:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (PE license a plus)
- 5+ years of HVAC design and construction experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong leadership and client communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of mechanical system codes and standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead HVAC design direction for all projects
- Support preconstruction with budgets, design options, and cost analysis
- Ensure compliance with codes and proactively mitigate project risks
- Interface with sales, estimating, engineering partners, and clients
- Produce conceptual budgets, take-offs, and assist with submittals and change orders
- Serve as the design liaison during client meetings and presentations
- Maintain documentation and drive design process improvements
