HVAC Controls Technician – Pompano Beach, FL – $25.00–$40.00/hour + Overtime

About the Opportunity:

An established and growing HVAC contractor is seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Technician to join their team in Pompano Beach, FL. With over 100 employees and a fleet of 50+ vehicles, this company specializes in new construction, retrofits, and building automation systems for commercial and residential properties across South and Central Florida.

Position Details:

• Title: HVAC Controls Technician
• Location: Pompano Beach, FL
• Status: Full-Time | Field-Based

Ideal Candidate:

• 5+ years of experience with BAS/BMS or HVAC Controls
• Proficiency in Tridium, Facility Explorer, or Honeywell platforms
• Experience with logic programming, commissioning, and point-to-point checks
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints
• Familiarity with installing conduit, VFDs, and field devices
• Knowledge of gas detection systems – a plus
• EPA and OSHA certification – a plus
• Must reside within 2 hours of the office

Key Responsibilities:

• Commission and program HVAC & Building Automation systems
• Troubleshoot and repair control systems and components
• Perform preventative maintenance and modifications as needed
• Test and verify equipment both onsite and remotely
• Install and terminate field wiring and devices
• Collaborate with contractors and clients to deliver high-quality solutions

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $25.00 – $40.00 (DOE) + Overtime
• Bonus: Based on Company Performance
