We’re seeking a Senior Power Analyst to join our high-impact Market Risk team, where you’ll play a pivotal role in driving strategic decisions across our energy trading portfolio. With a focus on power markets—including ERCOT, CAISO, and PJM—you’ll be the go-to expert in analyzing complex risks, developing advanced valuation models, and collaborating directly with front-office trading teams to fuel data-driven growth.

Lead power-focused market risk oversight within our trading portfolio.
Mentor and develop junior analysts to deepen team expertise in regional energy markets.
Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful daily risk reports using key metrics (e.g., VaR, scenario analysis, options Greeks).
Design, validate, and improve risk models—driving innovation in valuation methods for physical and financial power products.
Serve as a strategic partner to traders and portfolio managers—bridging analytics with real-time market movements.
Build and deploy quantitative models for structured/complex products and non-standard derivatives.
Provide actionable insights during structured transactions, scenario analysis, and business impact reviews.
Guide risk policy development and ensure adherence to best practices across trading activities.
Collaborate across departments to explain daily PnL drivers, validate valuation assumptions, and assess new deal structures.
Partner with GL Accounting on closing and settlement processes to support accuracy in revenue and invoicing cycles.
Manage key relationships with third-party data providers to ensure quality, timeliness, and completeness of market inputs.
Support continuous improvement of internal risk systems and tools—partnering with software teams on enhancements.
Leverage strong technical skills in SQL, VBA, and Excel to streamline workflows, improve transparency, and automate reporting.
Deep knowledge of U.S. power markets—ERCOT, CAISO, PJM experience is essential.
Proven track record with risk modeling techniques, options valuation, and VaR frameworks.
Fluency in technical tools: SQL, Excel (advanced), VBA; Python or other modeling tools a plus.
Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset and a solutions-oriented approach.
Experience working in energy trading, structured products, or a commercial energy environment.
A proactive attitude and natural curiosity for energy market dynamics and risk analysis.
