A full-service mechanical and electrical consulting firm is seeking a licensed Sr. Mechanical Engineer (PE) to lead HVAC system design projects in Rochester, MN. Position Details:
- Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer (PE)
- Location: Rochester, MN
- Work Schedule: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical design of HVAC systems for commercial, healthcare, and institutional facilities
- Oversee production of detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications using Revit, AutoCAD, and other design tools
- Perform load calculations, energy analysis, and equipment selection in accordance with project needs and code requirements
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver fully integrated solutions
- Conduct client meetings to present and refine project concepts and strategies
- Develop documentation including P&IDs, sequences of operation, test plans, and specifications
- Provide support during construction, including site verification, RFI responses, inspections, and submittal reviews
Ideal Candidate:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with prior experience in HVAC system design
- Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and mechanical design standards
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead design teams
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Commitment to quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $115,000 – $180,000 (Depending on Experience)
