HVAC Service Technician – Washington, D.C. – Data Centers & Critical Environments – $35–45/hr. DOE

• Washington, D.C. – 50–60 mile service radius

Position:

• HVAC Service Technician – Mission Critical & Commercial Facilities

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $35.00–$45.00/hr. (Flexible based on experience)
• Overtime pay available
• On-call rotation: every 7 weeks

Responsibilities:

• Service, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems, ensuring 24/7 uptime in mission-critical facilities
• Inspect, repair, modify, and install HVAC equipment including compressors, condensers, evaporators, chillers, cooling towers, and air handling units
• Diagnose and repair issues with RTUs, chiller systems, and VRF systems
• Install and maintain VRF systems, ensuring proper refrigerant balance and control sequences
• Calibrate sensors and thermostats for accurate control feedback
• Maintain compliance with client-specific operational protocols, including ticketing and access control systems
• Respond to emergency calls and participate in the on-call rotation schedule
• Perform all work in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards

Ideal Candidate:

• Prior experience as an HVAC Service Technician or similar role
• Experience working in mission-critical environments or data centers (highly preferred)
• Familiar with RTUs, chillers, VRF systems, and critical cooling equipment
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable service with a focus on uptime
