Relay Technician – Mobile, AL – Electrical Power Systems Services – Up to $55/hr. + OT + Company Truck

This role involves testing, commissioning, calibrating, and maintaining protective relays and related systems in substations, power plants, and industrial environments. Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, test, and maintain protective relaying equipment, relay schemes, DFRs, SCADA, and communication systems
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Perform functional testing of substation circuits, including relay panels, transformers, and breakers
- Execute end-to-end relay testing using Doble ProTesT software
- Manage on-site project activities and maintain communication with customers and contractors
- Carry out plant-based electrical testing and maintenance
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Ensure compliance with NETA standards and procedures
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience as a Relay Technician or similar role
- Proficient with both electromechanical and microprocessor-based relays
- Familiarity with IEEE, NETA, and NFPA standards
- NETA Level II or higher certification preferred
