A respected mechanical contracting firm is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join their growing team in the Minneapolis area. This firm has been serving the Upper Midwest for decades, delivering high-quality HVAC and plumbing design solutions across commercial, healthcare, and institutional projects. Position Details:

• Title: Mechanical Designer
• Location: Southwest Minneapolis, MN
• Compensation: $80,000–$105,000 (DOE)
• Status: Full-Time
• Bonus: Annual Company Performance Bonus

Responsibilities:

• Design HVAC systems for commercial, healthcare, and institutional projects.
• Produce construction documents including drawings, specifications, and schedules using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform load calculations, size ductwork/piping, and select equipment per code and project requirements.
• Coordinate designs with electrical, plumbing, and architectural teams.
• Conduct field surveys and support construction administration.
• Assist with RFIs and submittal reviews.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Designer, or comparable role.
• Working knowledge or proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems design and applicable codes.
• Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively across disciplines.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
