Position Details

• Title: Principal Mechanical Engineer (Lead Design & Technical Oversight)
• Location: San Jose, CA
• Compensation: $180,000 – $250,000 (Depending on Experience)
• Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical design projects
• Manage projects from concept through construction while ensuring quality and budget control
• Mentor and provide technical oversight for engineering staff
• Collaborate with architects, owners, and contractors to deliver integrated design solutions
• Review submittals, drawings, and technical documentation for compliance and accuracy
• Specify system components and performance standards
• Oversee energy-efficient and sustainable design initiatives
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, and performance goals

Ideal Candidate

• 10+ years of mechanical / HVAC design experience
• Expertise in mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing system design for high-performance buildings
• Preferred: Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification
