Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Supervisor Maintenance and Construction, performs a variety of maintenance repairs and installation/replacement of machinery, mechanical equipment and systems, and when assigned to shifts, responds and takes action on all skilled trade calls. Assists in the work direction of other mechanics, trades helpers, and mechanics of other skilled trades.

Qualifications

Technical school diploma or an equivalent level of knowledge required. Three (3) years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and installation of mechanical systems/equipment in an industrial, education and/or healthcare setting. Sound knowledge of blueprint and schematic reading is required, as is thorough knowledge of all applicable (local, state and national) codes. Ability to perform all skilled trades repairs including mechanical equipment/systems, HVAC/R electrical, plumbing and fire alarm systems. New Jersey Black Seal Engineer’s License is preferred.
