• GENERAL SUMMARY
  • The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Engineering Manager in coordinating daily department work activities and sets processes in place to promote effective operation of the unit/service/program. Responsibilities include the daily planning, work scheduling, coordination and operational performance of the department personnel. Reports to department management.
• ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs a variety of mechanical equipment as well as coordinates special projects.
  • Orders and maintains necessary supplies.
  • Implements and maintains the department’s PM program.
  • Independently carries out assigned responsibilities, seeking guidance from the Manager and/or Director when needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
• LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
  • None
• MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Technical training and work experience in a trade with a Master's level preferred or equivalent experience and/or training.
  • Broad knowledge of all other trades.
  • Five or more years of supervisory or lead experience preferred.
  • Must meet the insurability policy requirements to drive a CHKD vehicle.
  • Must be able to pass the CHKD driving test within 30 days of employment.
• WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Work is performed inside and outside of the hospital in all weather conditions.
