Position Information
Reporting to the Financial Operations Manager, provide leadership and support for the financial management of the Departments of Biochemistry, Plant Pathology and Microbiology, and the Center for Conservation Biology. Uses skills as an experienced research administrator to independently develop and coordinate research proposals for an assigned portfolio of Principal Investigators. Post-award contract and grant management and maintains contract and grant records in compliance with institutional research sponsor policies. Creates proposals and awards of diverse scope where data analysis requires a thorough understanding of complex regulations. Creates complex proposals and awards that may involve multiple investigators and multiple sub-awards. Performs complex budget/resource analysis including forecasting, retrieving data from campus financial systems, organizing and validating data, and preparing comprehensive reports for principal management. Participates in the design of department systems and processes to enhance processing and reporting tools.The full salary range for the Research Administrator 3 is $68,500 - $121,900 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $68,500 - $90,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time.
