Lead Electrical Engineer – San Francisco, CA – $130,000–$170,000 (DOE)

About the Opportunity:

A well-established MEP consulting firm with over 30 years of experience is seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to join its San Francisco-based team. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex projects, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and drive innovation in energy-efficient, sustainable building design.

Position:

• Title: Lead Electrical Engineer
• Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid/Remote Available)
• Status: Full-Time

Ideal Candidate:

• California PE License – required
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years in building electrical system design and engineering
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
• Familiarity with CEC, CBC, Title 24, NEC, CALGreen, and LEED codes/standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage electrical design and coordination for complex projects
• Lead a team of electrical design professionals
• Interface with clients, architects, and contractors across multiple trades
• Review submittals and RFIs; oversee quality assurance and code compliance
• Conduct photometric analysis and load calculations
• Create and maintain AutoCAD/Revit QA/QC drawing standards
• Conduct job walks and site surveys
• Mentor and train junior design staff
• Assist with business development and client relationship strategies

Offered Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $130,000–$170,000 (Depending on Experience)
