About the Opportunity:

A leading mechanical and electrical consulting firm is seeking a licensed Sr. Electrical Engineer (PE) with a focus on commercial building projects. This position, based in Minneapolis, MN, offers the opportunity to lead complex electrical designs and work on a wide range of projects with multidisciplinary teams in a flexible hybrid work environment.

Position Details:

• Title: Sr. Electrical Engineer (PE)
• Location: Minneapolis, MN
• Work Schedule: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote
• Focus: Commercial Projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the electrical design of systems for commercial buildings including power distribution, lighting, and equipment installations
• Perform engineering assessments of existing electrical and low-voltage systems to determine capacity, condition, and upgrade recommendations
• Develop construction drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit
• Review short circuit and arc flash analyses for safety compliance
• Design low-voltage systems including controls, fire alarm, telecommunications, and security
• Collaborate with mechanical, plumbing, and architectural teams on integrated design solutions
• Lead client meetings to present designs and gather feedback
• Author technical specifications, sequences of operation, test procedures, and engineering reports

Ideal Candidate:

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with experience in commercial electrical design
• Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical system design tools
• Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and analysis methodologies
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience with client-facing responsibilities
• Detail-oriented, collaborative, and motivated to lead project delivery

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $120,000 – $180,000 (Depending on Experience)
