About the Opportunity:

A highly respected mechanical contractor is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join its team in Springfield, MA. This role involves designing and developing detailed mechanical systems using AutoCAD MEP, Visio, or Revit. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to deliver innovative, high-quality designs for a wide range of clients and facilities.

• Salary: $90,000–$120,000 (DOE)

Responsibilities:

• Design and configure mechanical systems using AutoCAD MEP, Visio, or Revit
• Develop flow diagrams, layouts, schematics, sequence of operations, and bills of materials
• Create detailed mechanical designs and prepare them for submittals
• Revise and redline project drawings as needed
• Ensure timely and efficient delivery of control designs for each project
• Work with project managers and engineers to address RFIs and provide accurate estimates
• Lead the development of mechanical designs for submission and fabrication
• Visit client sites occasionally to assess and verify design needs

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Designer or in a similar mechanical engineering role
• Proficiency with AutoCAD MEP, Visio, or Revit
• Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate clearly
• Strong organizational and technical documentation skills
• Knowledge of mechanical systems design for diverse facilities
