About the Opportunity
A large, publicly traded organization operating in mission-critical construction and engineering
environments is seeking a BIM Manager to support its engineering department in San Jose, CA.
This role is focused on owning Revit/BIM standards, model setup, collaboration workflows, and training
across engineering teams, with a primary emphasis on mechanical and plumbing systems. The organization
is known for strong collaboration, a high-quality project portfolio, and long-term stability.
Position Overview
The BIM Manager will serve as the subject matter expert for Revit and BIM workflows, supporting
engineering teams through model setup, troubleshooting, and training. This role ensures consistency,
quality, and compliance across BIM deliverables while enabling efficient collaboration on complex,
fast-paced projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain BIM workflows, Revit templates, families, and content libraries
- Establish and enforce BIM standards and collaboration best practices
- Support engineering teams with Revit modeling, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization
- Manage Autodesk Construction Cloud collaboration and document management processes
- Support BIM coordination for mechanical and plumbing systems
- Build and maintain standards-based models in compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project specifications
- Utilize Navisworks Manage for coordination and clash detection (preferred)
- Leverage Revit add-ins such as Naviate and DiRoots to improve efficiency
- Lead BIM training initiatives and user enablement across engineering teams
- Support AutoCAD customization to ensure compatibility with BIM workflows
Required Experience & Skills
- Expert-level Revit experience, including templates, families, and content management
- Strong understanding of BIM standards, coordination workflows, and model governance
- Experience supporting mechanical and plumbing engineering teams
- Hands-on experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Navisworks Manage experience preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot BIM and Revit issues in a fast-paced engineering environment
- Strong communication and training skills

- Base salary range: $135,000 – $150,000
